Firstly, we need to understand what "Trust" means before talking about its Worthiness.
TRUST: This is the most valuable character to be portrayed in us as we are being relied on for something to be carried out with utmost sincerity. Our actions and decisions should display the act of trust. Then, being worthy of trust will be easy to identify.
The word "Trustworthy" tags along with the following characteristics; Reliability, Honesty, Consistency, Integrity, Honorable, Dependable, Responsible, Authentic, True, Faithfulness, Compassionate, Availability, Humility and Kindness. As a person, you should be known for all or some of these traits to ascertain your level of worthiness to be trusted.
We have heard so many stories about betrayals which leads to disappointment and discouragement. It is not enough to share our desires or secrets with people but also to weigh the level of our trust in that person before pouring out our heart to them.
This word "Trustworthy" will be elaborated in the following contexts; Are you worthy of trust? and What is your optimum level of trust in someone?
To be worthy of trust, you should practice the highlighted characters. Then you will be valued or respected for being who you are.
To know the level of trust, you should understudy that person for a certain period or long time before sharing anything of importance in your life.
As Humans, we get easily hurt by being disrespected or not valued. I must tell you the work is in our hands to handle. No one can help you portray good character but yourself. You can only get advice or opinions of people about you. And most times, we tend not to pay attention to them because we believe to know who we are better and ignore the truth.
Being Trustworthy is a BIG DEAL. Not only for people to value or respect you but to make you someone that can be confided in for anything. Be it; Advice, Words of Wisdom, Encouragement, Time, Resource, Good Feelings and Morales. Not otherwise.
Search your heart and ask yourself...Am I Trustworthy?
